The Story of the Mayflower
In 1620, the Mayflower left England to set sail for the Virginia Colony. The Pilgrims on board were hopeful for a better life in America. Once they arrived, however, they faced challenges, and many died before spring arrived. The remaining Pilgrims may not have survived if it weren't for the knowledge of a Native man named Tisquantum. The Story of the Mayflower introduces students to the challenges the Pilgrims faced and the impact of the Pilgrims' arrival on the lives of Native peoples.
