The Legislative Branch
The legislative branch is one of three branches in the United States government. Also called Congress, the legislative branch is made up of the Senate and the House of Representatives. The men and women who serve as senators and representatives have many important duties. They are in charge of making and changing the country's laws. Of the three branches of government, the legislative branch is the people's branch. By voting to elect senators and representatives, U.S. citizens have a role in government.
