The Gift of the Magi
The Gift of the Magi recounts the story of Della and Jim, two young lovers living in New York City in the early 1900s. Although poor in pocket, they are rich in love, and each is willing to sell their most valued possessions in order to buy a Christmas gift for the other. Della cuts and sells her long locks of sumptuous hair to buy a chain for Jim's favorite watch, while Jim simultaneously sells his watch to buy a set of combs for Della.
