Sara's secret benefactor continues to furnish her with delicious meals and other comforts. When a parcel filled with beautiful clothing arrives at the front door for Sara, the benefactor is a secret no more, but still a great mystery. Miss Minchin is left to speculate about their identity-and fears that Sara may have a new, powerful ally. Sara writes a thank-you note to her benefactor and and leaves it in her garret for them to find. The monkey from next door pays another visit.
