Unbeknownst to Sara, Ram Dass has become her secret protector. One night he overhears her talking to the rat, Melchisedec. When Ram Dass relates the tale to Mr. Carrisford, the Indian gentleman instructs his secretary to see what Sara needs and provide it. One day when Sara is at work downstairs, Ram Dass and the secretary sneak into Sara's garret room and plan a wonderful transformation.
