Scrooge wakes up in his own bed on Christmas morning, a changed man. Newly infused with Christmas spirit, Scrooge buys a turkey for the Cratchits, gives money to charity, and surprises his nephew by showing up for Christmas dinner. The following morning, Bob Cratchit arrives late to work, fearing Scrooge's anger. Instead, Scrooge raises Bob's salary, wishes him a merry Christmas, and offers to help his family from then on. He eventually becomes like a second father to Tiny Tim and goes on to embrace a life of kindness and generosity.
