The friends continue their adventures where the previous two books left off. When we last read about the friends, they had accidentally been separated while being transported. Tommy ended up on the planet Borth, and Sam found herself alone in a desert in Australia. In this story, Andy realizes he is alone in a remote, snowy location. Creatures eventually capture him, and Bongo is nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, Tommy escapes with RK-5 and RK-9, and runs into Aplixa, who explains why Tommy was brought to Borth.
