Tommy and his sister, Sam, continue their adventures, where the previous book left off. When we last read about Tommy and Sam, they were accidentally separated in the middle of being transported. Tommy found himself on the planet Borth. There, they spied the evil Oznox in possession of all of the RK-class robots but one— RK-5. RK-5's tracking device had been remotely activated. In this tale, Tommy tries to find a way to Aplixa, RK-5's creator. Sam finds herself alone in a desert and is captured by four creatures.
