When Mom's away, the cat will play! It's raining, and a brother and sister are sitting around bored until a cat in a striped red hat pays them a visit. This frenzied, fun-loving character is full of tricks and games. Unfortunately, his antics, along with those of friends Thing One and Things Two, wreck the house. The children panic when they realize Mom is on her way home. Fortunately, the cat also has a machine that makes quick work of the mess and saves the day, rather than ruining it.
