Many white bomber crews during World War II admired and respected the combat skills of the pilots of the red-tailed P-51 fighter planes who protected them from enemy fighters. Few of them, however, had any idea that those fighter pilots were African Americans. When a snowstorm causes a squadron of B-24 bombers with white crews to make an emergency landing at the Tuskegee Airmen's secret base in Italy, they get the surprise of their lives. Use this Graphic Book with The Tuskegee Airmen at Level V.
