“It takes a thousand voices to tell a single story.” --Native American Proverb
(Note: Several hundred Native American groups populated North America prior to European contact and after, many holding very different world views and ways of life. All Native American nations are deserving of a place among our theme pack materials. We chose five geographical areas and distinct groups and stories to provide a glimpse of life before and after European contact. The themes presented here apply to broader research and discussion of other Native American nations.)
