Books and lessons grounded in the skills and strategies of Common Core State Standards to meet balanced literacy needs

Help your students to meet Common Core standards with our exciting new Shared Reading resource. Fiction and nonfiction titles organized into three grade level categories are provided in both printable and two projectable formats. An accompanying lesson plan for each title focuses on a variety of literacy and foundational skills. Teachers will model close reading, text dependent questioning, and asking and answering questions strategies. The optional Projectable Book with Prompts engages students in further discussion about the book as they participate in a variety of tasks that allow them to practice citing evidence in support of their answers.
