Student Reading
After completing the introduction, give each child a copy of the book. Allow them to read at their own pace. When they come to difficult words or passages, have them ask themselves questions to monitor their understanding. Ask children to work with their Question Guides as they read, filling in new information they have learned and adding questions for discussion.
